About These Growth Charts

Each age page shows the full CDC growth chart percentile table (3rd through 97th percentile) for weight, height or length, head circumference (for infants), and BMI (for children 2+). Values are shown in both metric (kg, cm) and imperial (lb, in) units.

These are population reference values — they show how children at that age compare to the broader population. Being at any percentile from 3rd to 97th is considered within the normal range. What matters most is consistent growth along your child's own curve over time.

For personalized percentile calculations using your child's exact measurements, use our growth percentile calculator. To track growth over time, try our growth tracker.

CDC vs WHO Growth Charts

The WHO growth standards are recommended for children 0–2 years (based on breastfed infants), while CDC charts are used for 2–20 years. The data on these pages uses CDC reference values, which are the standard in the United States. Learn more about the differences in our CDC vs WHO guide.
